Terms of use

Version 2026-09-01.

This page describes what the software does, and is written to be checkable against its source rather than to serve as legal advice. The operator of this deployment should review it, and replace it, before relying on it for anything beyond a truthful description of the system.

What this is

SocialEddie schedules and publishes posts to X and Threads on behalf of the accounts each workspace connects, and offers its members reads of public X data through its tooling. It is operated by whoever runs this deployment.

Who may use it

Anyone who signs in with an X account and either creates a workspace, when this deployment allows it, or joins one by invitation. By continuing past the sign-in screen you accept these terms; when they change, you are asked to accept the new version before using the dashboard again.

Workspaces, roles and responsibility

A workspace's owner is responsible for who is invited into it, for the accounts connected to it, and for everything published through it. Every member is responsible for what they queue. Members must comply with the terms of X and of Meta for the accounts they connect and the content they publish.

Plans, limits and billing

Each workspace is on a plan that bounds how many accounts it may connect, how many members it may have, how many posts it may publish and how much of this deployment's X spend it may use in a calendar month, and how much media it may store. At a limit the action is refused with the reason and the plan named. Payments on this deployment are emulated: no card is charged. A paid plan can be started, changed and cancelled from the Billing screen; an emulated payment failure moves a workspace back to the free plan after the configured number of attempts, without deleting anything.

What the operator may do

The operator may suspend a workspace, which stops it publishing, queueing, reading and connecting while its members can still sign in, read, export and delete; may change a workspace's plan; and may pause publishing for the whole deployment. Each such action is recorded in the affected workspace's activity log.

Availability

It is provided as-is, with no warranty and no guarantee of availability. Platform rate limits, outages and policy changes can prevent a scheduled post from publishing; a workspace is expected to watch its queue and its notification channel rather than assume delivery.

Ending

A workspace owner may delete the workspace at any time, and any person may delete their account once they own no workspace. The operator may close this deployment, and would tell its members how to export their queue and media first — an export of both is available to every member from the queue screen.
